Notes

Car parking in Milford Sound is $10 per hour, if parking in the main car park, please allow 10-12 minutes to walk to the terminal. There is free parking in Deepwater Basin, please allow 25-30 minutes to walk to the terminal. If you choose to self-drive, we recommend arriving into Milford Sound at least one hour prior to your scheduled cruise departure to allow sufficient time to find a car park and make your way to the Milford Sound Cruise Terminal. For further information about car parking please visit milfordsountourism.nz/parking

So much value

Our trip took about 2 hours. The staff were friendly and the skipper/announcer were informative. We saw so many amazing things, even though we went after a few days of no rain, so fewer waterfalls. Amazing views, getting up and close to some permanent waterfalls (and even getting sprayed!). Bitter cold and windy and you couldn't take photos for more than a few minutes without gloves without your fingers freezing off. The interior was warm though. We were lucky enough to see seals, birdlife and even dolphins!

Milfordsound Nature Cruise

The cruise was good but the root it followed was totally in middle of the ocean. Because of that we couldn’t witness any waterfalls close by.
